5 guys and 1 girl all in their early twenties with big ideas of how they can affect today's music make up the band NIHILING. NIHILING has a musical taste reaching from the edge of electronical avant-garde over instrumental Postrock to the progressive metal songs of Katatonia. From this mixture the band has created an own world on their debut album "M[e]iosis" that enthuses Postrock and Progressive fans all over Europe.

After 2 EP's which granted the band a proper extent in the Postrock genre, NIHILING has become the first contact point as support to well-established bands like Mono (JP), Immanu El (SWE), This Will Destroy You (US) and Caspian (US) in Germany.

On 23 January 2009 NIHILING's debut album "M[e]iosis" was released by Abandon Records/New Music Distribution, press work handled by Oktober Promotion. With a sound inspired by Mogwai, Aereogramme and Oceansize, NIHILING are not only gaining attention in Germany, but in advance to their first album release fans around the globe were already downloading previews on MySpace and are still providing the band up to 1000 plays a day. For this reason NIHILING is on their way to take roots in this genre and achieve their goal of a permanent career.

After the last tour with Long Distance Calling (GER) in Oct 09 the band is working on the successor for M(e)iosis.
