Expanding musical limitations is the central theme trough the story of the German band from Bielefeld, Niedersachsen. No matter if they tried that as an instrumental band in the beginning or as the PSI-Rock quintet on "Time Fluctuations" - 7 DAYS AWAKE always stands for the steady effort to bring together what some might say "shouldn't be together". But as far as they went, they always took care of the song. As a trio on their upcoming release, it seems as if they have finally succeeded.
Founded in 2003 as an instrumental band with the line-up: Valera Igla (Guitar), Hell-G(Drums), Simon Castrol Vegaz(Bass) and Phill Kidneybone (Percussions and Sounds) the band recorded their first DIY record „Who cares“, followed up by two tours with the well known instrumental band Friends of Dean Martinez (USA). In 2004 Mario Carlucci joined in as a vocalist and they recorded the second full-time album „Cubism“. After that the band started to play as much shows as possible for the next two years. The supported The Dwarves (USA), Mother Superior (USA), WE (N) and did a lot of single headliner shows. In 2007 Abandon Records signed a deal with 7 DAYS AWAKE, which led to the album „Time Fluctuation“, the first officially released record to date. Several tours later Phil Kidneybone and Mario Carlucci left the band in 2009 and the new trio started to write songs for the successor of „Time Fluctuations“. With Hell-G on vocals, 7 DAYS AWAKE are much more song-orientated and uncompromising then ever before, and they've got a real good record up there sleeves to proof it.
