Abandon Records is, by no doubt, among the TOP 10 labels in Germany regarding the work with German newcomer bands. There are almost no other labels around that support and push newcomers the way we do.
Often, in these so-called hard days, this work is seen as uneconomical. We do it anyway. Why?
Of course we know some simple things, everybody know:
- Music is an oversupplied market that comes from the simplification of digital production and online presentation.
- In markets with oversupply, products with the lowest price or the highest quality force through.
- The lowest price for music is 0, as it is always possible to get free music out of the Internet.
- Quality is an emotional factor for music that is created the moment the music found the right listener or all the way around.
This quality is what we are looking for. Preferred with, but not limited to, German artists. Because we believe, that the oft-cited identification with music and the artist behind it, needs a real and alive scene. To share feelings, discover new music and listen to it on concerts and products.
We don't want anonymous consumers with more than 10.000 songs on their mp3 players, but we want to help reestablish music as a real alternative for one's leisure time activities.
This is why we constantly look for the best German bands in their genre to help them to release their music and find their fans. With the help of an independent network and the individual initiative of our artists we want to gain your maximum of attention.
